There are few songwriters who have the ability to captivate an audience quite the way Kim DiVine is known to. Her songs embody all that is human, putting her heart unabashedly on her sleeve with her percipient insights and unique song form. The combination of these qualities has endeared her music to audiences of all ages worldwide.
Originally from a small town in Massachusetts, Kim has been a substantial presence in Southern California’s music scene since 2004. Before her move to Los Angeles she dedicated her time performing in the San Diego music scene where she was named “Best Singer/Songwriter” and “Best Female Vocalist” in the 2006 San Diego H.A.T. Awards (Honoring Acoustic Talent). She has performed live on San Diego’s popular 91X FM Morning Show with Cantore, FM 94/9’s “Local Pyle”, and was a featured artist on KPRI 102.1 FM.
Kim is currently starring in “Kim & Seana”, a music infused Internet webisode series sponsored by Ford Motors and was recently awarded “Best Acoustic Artist” for Indie In-Tune’s 2007 Publisher Awards.
DiVine has received recognition on an International level as well. Songs “Home (Stickin’ Around)” and “What’s It Gonna Be?” made it to the second round of judging in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) Her song "Trouble" placed in the top 20 for the 11th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest and also received an honorable mention for being placed in the top 500 entries in the 2007 Billboard World Song Contest. DiVine was chosen as a semi-finalist in the 2007 Discmakers International music World Series, west division and her video blog, “Bedroom Sessions”, was featured on the front page of YouTube in late 2007 and has received over 1.5 million views.
