Nightmare Of You is a bold four-piece from Long Island, featuring Brandon Reilly, formerly of The Movielife. They have toured both the US, and the UK both as a headline act and in support of other artists including AFI, Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge, Brand New, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, and Circa Survive. They have previously been nominated for mtvU Woodie awards for Best Tour and Most Downloaded.
They were also the winners of Yahoo! Music's "Who's Next?" competition[1] for the month of April 2006, a competition that has the potential to propel the winners into mainstream prominence. Past winners include My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria, and Hinder.
The band originally self-released their debut album on their own label The Bevonshire Label, and licensed it to East West Records In the US and Full Time Hobby in the UK. In the Spring of 2007 The Bevonshire Label split with East West Records.
In 2008, Nightmare Of You recruited new drummer Michael Fleischmann (formerly of Permanent ME (Drums)]], and begun writing for their next full length record. At a show on December 29 2008, Nightmare Of You announced they would be entering the studio in early January to start recording. As of the end of January, there are currently two videos on their myspace page of edited studio footage.
Nightmare Of You have announced in a recent interview that their new record will be entitled Infomaniac, and it will be released on August 4th, 2009 via The Bevonshire Label. Nightmare Of You have also revealed that they will embarking on a six week national headlining tour this summer to support their upcoming release.
On May 18th 2009, Spin.com released a download of a new song entitled I Think I'm Getting Older, which is the lead track off of the anticipated sophomore release of Infomaniac.
2009 finds New York City-based indie-pop masters Nightmare of You at the height of their most inspired and creative period to date; with new songs, a new lineup, and a brand new full-length album entitled "Infomaniac", slated for a August 4th, 2009 release. The band has formed a unique and passionate fanbase with its jaw-dropping live shows, creative blending of impeccable musicianship, master wordplay, and unforgettable melodies and harmonies.
